Temes Valley Police Two people have been arrested, who are aged 28 and 38 CinnamonOn Thursday evening (May 22) due to an incident at Stoke Pogs, on suspicion of attempt to murder by dangerous driving and serious injury.
A third person, 43 from Slaw, was also arrested on suspicion of assisting a criminal and completing the curriculum of justice.
The incident took place at around 10.20 pm on B416 Bells Hill, between them and Rogers Lane, while the officer was on duty.
56-year-old postman Alan Horn, who lives in the area, said: “Neighbors heard a car in a car-D-SAC race and come back, but no one saw anything as far as I know.
“I came out in the morning and the road closed.”
79 -year -old Jennifer Tuloc, who lives nearby, said: “I saw only blue glowing lights that evening.
“It’s terrible, I think he is seriously injured. He is not local, I don’t think. I think he was on duty. We must have heard by now if he was local.”
Officers remained deadly in the hospital on Saturday. Bal said that it is supporting the officer’s family through this difficult time.
Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Barber said for Tems Valley: “My views are with the officers, their families and their colleagues who will also be deeply influenced.
“This reminds another Stark of the dangers that face our police and emergency service colleagues on a daily basis.
“The Temes Valley Police is supporting the officer’s family in this difficult time.”
Conservative councilor David Moore for Fernhams and Stoke Pogs said: “I am very surprised to know this and I am sad that one of our brave police officers are fighting for their lives after this horrific incident.
“My thoughts and prayers are with him and his loved ones in this incredibly difficult time, and I wish him a complete and fast recovery.
“It has shaken Stoke Pogs and our broad community into South rupees. Residents and councilors have been equally influenced by this incident.
“I urge anyone to come forward with information and support the investigation of the Temes Valley Police so that justice can be given.”
