Police made a fresh discovery in UAPA case in Sopore

As part of the ongoing rift on the separatist-attentive ecosystem, the Sopore police on Friday performed another search operation in relation to the case registered under the illegal activities (prevention) Act (UAPA) against the banned outfit Muslim League.

The latest discovery was held at the residence of Irfan Ahmed Antu, the son of Tariq Ahmed Antu, a resident of Kralteng Sopore, who is affiliated to the accused organization and associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let).

During the operation, it was held in the presence of magistrates and independent witnesses, from which the material was recovered and seized for further investigation.

This action follows the search operation organized at the residence of a person associated with another Muslim League of yesterday. The Sopore police reiterated their resolve to pursue all such elements or remove terrorism or separatist propaganda.

Crackdown will continue in the coming days, with a concentrated purpose to uproot the network supporting restricted organizations and threaten public order.
