Some flights are delayed due to a police incident and diverted at YVR Airport.
A large police appearance can be seen on the northern runway of the airport, in which the scene was clearly centered around a small aircraft, possibly a cess.
In an email 1130 Newsradio, YVR spokesman Reena Gakad Kirkpatrick confirmed the police’s presence on the runway.
“Shortly before 1:30 pm today, a safety incident that incorporating a small private aircraft in the airsplain near YVR inspired a temporary ground stop to reach the aircraft,” he explained.
Once the aircraft landed safely, “RCMP replied and the lonely living was taken into custody,” said Kirkpatrick.
According to a YVR spokesperson, the small private aircraft was entering the YVR aircraft from Victoria Flying Club.
The YVR flight tracker suggests that some flights have been taken to other airports, which has also been confirmed by Kirkpatrick.
“During the 39 -minute ground stop for arrival, nine inbound aircraft were taken to alternative airports.”
She says that flights are now usually departing and landing.
“However, some flight delays are possible, and passengers should check directly on their airline or YVR.CA before coming to the airport.”
