Police in Kunjar Baramulla solve the mystery of minor death

Police in Baramulla has solved the case of a mysterious death of a minor in Kunjar area of ​​Baramulla.

A police spokesman said that on 12/06/2025, police station Kunjar came to know about a minor boy (nominated by name), who was a resident of Bandora Lalpora at the age of about 8, who were found unconscious in an area near his residence. The child was immediately shifted to JVC Srinagar for medical treatment by his family members.

Taking quick cognizance of the case, a team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) was called for the scene for the scientific examination. A case was registered, and a detailed investigation was initiated to find out the facts and circumstances around the incident.

Despite all efforts, the child died in the early hours today due to his injuries in JVC Srinagar. After the completion of the Medico-Konantian formalities, the body was handed over to the bereaved family.

During the investigation, a 14 -year -old boy (nominated by the name) admitted his participation in the incident, causing a sad death of a minor child.

The teenager has been caught according to the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act and will be produced before the competent authority for further legal proceedings. In addition, two more persons belonging to the accused have been detained for questioning and currently several angles are being discovered as part of the ongoing investigation.

The J&K police assured the public that the matter is being investigated in a professional, complete and fair manner, in which all necessary legal procedures are being followed.
