While continuing the tireless cracks against drug trafficking and destroying the network of illegal narcotics, the Srinagar police have booked an infamous drug pedaler under the prevention of illegal traffic in the drugs of the drug and the Psychotropic substance Act (Pit-NDPS Act).
A police spokesperson said that Sheikh Tasaduk, son of Mohammad Shafi, the late Mohammad Shafi, named Mamkhan Mohalla Badamwari, was found to be found involved in illegal smuggling and pedaling of drugs and psychotropic materials between the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
Certainly, the accused person has also been found to be involved in cases related to many drugs and his activities were limited to the district Srinagar, but prevailing in the Kashmir Valley.
This can be ascertained from the fact that drugs stand in criminal records of Budgam and Avantpora’s police stations, which are in FIR No. 112/2019 U/S 8/, 20, 18, 21, 21, 29 NDPS Act of Avtipora and 81/2023 U/S8/21, 29 NDPS Act Budgam.
Subsequently, the accused person transferred his illegal drug pedaling activities towards Srinagar and targeted the youth under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rainwari, Srinagar. He has been found involved in the pedaling of drugs among the youth of Srinagar on a dangerous scale.
Despite the cases of the NDPS Act, registered against him, he did not work in his own way after exiting the courts and was promoting drugs through a network of illegal drugs, especially among the youth of the valley, especially in Srinagar.
In response, the Srinagar police made constant efforts to curb their illegal narcotics trade and to get justice to him.
The above drug pedaler has been booked under the Pit-NDPS Act, which is based on a dosier prepared by the Srinagar police after receiving a formal detention order from the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.
As a result, the drug pedaler has been detained and later recorded in Kot Balwal Jail Jammu.
Srinagar Police has also accelerated the process of attaching illegal acquired assets under the provisions of the Pit-NDPS Act to destroy the infrastructure supporting illegal drug trade.
The J&K police confirmed their stable commitment to eliminate drug pedaling in the area with full force of the law. We also caution the people engaged in this illegal activity that the long arm of law will soon catch them compared to anticipated and every criminal will have to face justice.
