In a major action under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the Sopore Police on Thursday attacked a residential property for its use in providing shelter and logical support to terrorists involved in illegal and anti-national activities.
The property includes a single-storey residential house, with measuring 3 kanals and 3 marlus, as well as the survey Nose 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, and 2018, located in Rebon Ramam, who is falling under the ownership of Javed Ahmed Dar, son of Gulam Rasool Dar, a resident of Rebon Sopore, Ghulam Rasool Dar, a resident of Rebon Sopore.
This attachment FIR has been done in connection with the FIR number 133/2024, which is registered in the police station Sopore under Section 13, 18, 19, 20, 23, 23, 38, 39 of the illegal activities (prevention) Act and is 7/25 of the Arms Act.
During the investigation, it was found that the said property was used to harass terrorists and to facilitate their stay, which supported the execution of terrorist activities in the Sopore region. After working on the collected evidence, and after receiving the necessary approval from the competent authority, the said property is attached to the legal provisions under the UAPA.
The Sopore police reiterated their firm commitment not only to the operators, but also those who provide shelter, support and resources to those who have given their firm commitment to eliminate the terror ecosystem operated in the region.
The general public is once again advised to avoid raising any kind of support – inconsistent or abstract – for terrorists or their colleagues, if failed that strict action will have to be followed under the provisions of the law.
