Srinagar, Jul 24, KDC: Police said on Thursday that in a major action under the illegal activities (prevention) Act, the police in Sopore attached a residential property to provide shelter and logical assistance to terrorists involved in illegal and anti-national activities.
A handout for Srinagar -based news agency Kashmir.com (KDC) police stated that the property includes a single -storey residential house, including 3 canals and 3 marlus to measure 3 canals and 3 marlus.
This attachment FIR has been done in connection with the FIR number 133/2024, which is registered in the police station Sopore under Section 13, 18, 19, 20, 23, 23, 38, 39 of the illegal activities (prevention) Act and is 7/25 of the Arms Act.
During the investigation, it was found that the said property was used to harass terrorists and to facilitate their stay, which supported the execution of terrorist activities in the Sopore region. After working on the collected evidence, and after receiving the necessary approval from the competent authority, the said property is attached to the legal provisions under the UAPA.
The police reiterated their strong commitment to destroy the terrorist ecosystem working in the area by targeting not only the operators, but also those who provide shelter, support and resources. The statement said that the general public is once again advised to avoid increasing any kind of support for terrorists or their allies, which fails that strict action will be followed under the provisions of the law.
