Police arrested two drug pedals in Srinagar, Avantpora

Srinagar, May 16: In continuing its tireless efforts to eradicate the threat of drug from society, the police arrested two drug pedals in Srinagar and Avantpora and recovered contraband/psychotropic substances from their possession.
According to the police statement, a police team of Police Station Novata, a police station at a checkpoint installed in Syed Saheb Rajori-Kadal, arrested a drug pedler identified as Suhail Ahmed Shihe, son of GH Rasool Shikhe, resident of Qutubuddin Porla Alikadal. During the search, sufficient amount of Contraband drugs (spasmoproxivon and tapantadol) were recovered from their possession.
In a separate action in Avantpora in South Kashmir, police statement said that a police party arrested a drug pedal identified as Adil Ahmed Bhat, son of Farooq Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Latarbal Pampor during Naka checking. During the search, the authorities were able to fix a substance such as 5 grams of brown sugar from their possession.
Accordingly, cases under the relevant sections of the law have been registered at the concerned police stations and investigation has been initiated.
Police statement said that Jammam & Police is committed to their zero-oppression policy against drug smuggling and urge the general public to come forward with any information related to drug abuse or pedaling in their areas.
