PM Sawidhi Yojana brought my family back to track: MP beneficiary expresses gratitude on PM’s birthday

New Delhi, on the occasion of 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 17 September (IANS), beneficiaries of various central welfare schemes across India are expressing their gratitude. Among them, Mohammad Wasim Khan, an electrical technician and motor rewinding specialist of Khandwa, credits the PM Savanidhi Yojana to change their lives and revive their family’s heritage business.

Khan said, “I inherited my father’s workshop, but we had a shortage of necessary equipment to work efficiently.

“When I learned about the PM Sanvidhi Yojana through Khandwa Municipal Corporation, I applied and got a loan of Rs 10,000. With this, I bought the necessary equipment and resumed my business. Now I am handling more customers and earning well. My family is safe again. I really thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this occasion.”

Launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in June 2020, the self -sufficient fund (PM Sawidhi) scheme of the Prime Minister Street Sale (PM Sawidhi) Scheme aims to provide collateral -free working capital loans to the road sellers and small traders affected by the Kovid -19 pandemic.

The scheme enables vendors to avail a loan of ₹ 10,000 in the first year, followed by ₹ 20,000 in the second year and ₹ 50,000 in the third, on the basis of repayment on time. Recently, the additional benefits of the of 5,000 have been incorporated, leading to the initial disbursement.

Speaking of the local impact of the scheme, City Mission Manager of Khandwa Municipal Corporation Mohammad Saeed Shah said: “This scheme is nothing short of blessings for road sellers. In Khandwa, many beneficiaries like Wasim Khan have successfully expanded their businesses.

On PM Modi’s birthday, beneficiaries like Wasim Khan say that they are not only celebrating a leader, but also life -changing opportunities that have brought his government’s plans to his life. For many small traders across India, PM Sawidhi is not just financial aid, it is restored dignity.
