New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on his birthday, praised his contribution for his efforts to make India a hub for tourism and promote Indian culture.
Taking on the social media platform ‘X’, PM Modi said, “Happy birthday to Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat ji, who is making extensive efforts to make India a hub for tourism and is also working towards popularizing Indian culture. Praying for his long and healthy life.”

A prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shekhawat, has served in prominent positions including Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Minister of Water Power. Their efforts in water conservation and welfare of farmers have been particularly effective in removing Rajasthan’s water concerns.
Shekhawat’s political visit began in 1992 when he was elected President of the Students Union at JNVU University. He later became the National General Secretary of BJP Kisan Morcha. In 2014, he was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from Jodhpur constituency with an impressive difference of 4,10,051 votes.
