Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the BAPS Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, praying for ‘Maa Bharti’ and saying that he has dedicated every second of his life to the nation.
The inauguration witnessed the prime minister’s heartfelt commitment to serving his country, saying: “I adore Mama Bhatti.”Whatever time God gives me, I accept it every step of the way.…”
Prime Minister Modi, while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the BAPS Hindu Temple, emphasized his deep spiritual connection with India and views every moment as an opportunity to contribute to the progress of the country.
“The UAE, which has previously been known for its high-tech buildings such as the Burj Khalifa, the Museum of the Future, and the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, has now added another cultural chapter to its identity. I believe that there will be a large number of Devotees come here this time,” he said.
“This will also increase the number of people coming to the UAE and people-to-people connections will also increase. On behalf of all of India and millions of Indians living around the world, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to His Highness Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nah President Young expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the UAE government,” the Prime Minister added.
Prime Minister Modi also announced that the UAE Vice President has provided a piece of land in Dubai to build a hospital for Indian workers.
The Prime Minister further emphasized the cultural and diplomatic importance of the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi.
“This temple will become a symbol of unity and harmony…The role played by the UAE government in the construction of the temple is worthy of praise,” he also said.
He highlighted the UAE’s role in supporting the construction of the temple and expressed confidence that the cultural ties fostered by such efforts will strengthen ties between the two countries.
The Prime Minister also said: “The UAE has written a golden chapter. The inauguration of the temple is the result of years of hard work and the dreams of many people are connected with the temple. Swaminarayan’s blessings are also connected.”
Prime Minister Modi arrived in the UAE on a two-day visit on Tuesday and spoke about the BAPS temple at the ‘Ahlan Modi’ event held yesterday.
He thanked the UAE President for approving the BAPS Hindu temple and said that this reflects his love and respect for India and this would not have been possible without his love and support.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the UAE also marks his third visit to the Gulf country in the past eight months.
