PM Modi says that the life of Vijay Kumar Malhotra did ‘serve before service’,

New Delhi, 6 October (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid tribute to senior BJP leader and the first Chief Executive Councilor of Delhi Vijay Kumar Malhotra, described him as a leader, whose influence overwhelmed the positions that he had held the positions held and whose life reflected the dedication, values ​​and courage.

VK Malhotra, who died on September 30 at the age of 93, was undergoing treatment at Aimims for age -related diseases. After his death, PM Modi visited Malhotra’s residence to pay his final honor and express condolences to the bereaved family.

In a hearty blog, the Prime Minister remembered Malhotra as a person of unwavering resolve and selfless service, saying that his life followed the principles of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

“A few days ago, we lost one of our senior-most leaders, Mr. Vijay Kumar Malhotra ji. He lived a long and skillful life, but more importantly, he led the life of tireless hard work, determination and service. A glimpse of his life would understand the core Atheos of RSS, for national and cultural values, for national and cultural values,” PM Modi wrote.

Considering the early life of Malhotra, the Prime Minister said, “VK Malhotra’s family faced the horrors of partition. The trauma and displacement did not make him bitter or inwardly. Instead, instead he drowned himself in serving others. He found his calling in the ideology of Ross and Jana Sangh.

He said that Malhotra dedicated himself to thousands of displaced families to help reconstruct their lives.

PM Modi said, “In those days his fellow Kayakarts included Madanlal Khurana ji and Kidar Nath Sahni ji. Like him and countless others were at the forefront of selfless service, who echoed with the people of Delhi,” PM Modi said.

Recalling Malhotra’s 1999 Lok Sabha election victory against former PM Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister said, “It was a high-profile election, where he was raised against an important Congress leader. Full strength of Congress ecosystems landed in his South Delhi constituency, but Malhotra never reduced the level of amazing.”

He said, “He launched a positive campaign, ignoring the Velle attacks and won with more than 50 percent of the vote! The victory was achieved by Malhotra ji’s strong connect to the land and his ability to understand the aspirations of the voters.”

Highlighting Malhotra’s parliamentary contribution, PM Modi said the speech was “always well -research and well presented”.

He said that during the tenure of the BJP leader as Deputy Leader of Opposition during UPA -1, “provides valuable lessons to students of politics and parliamentary democracy”.

“He effectively opposed the ineffective UPA government, especially on his disappointing track record of corruption and terrorism. During those days, I was serving as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and often interacted with Malhotra ji, who was always eager to know about the development of Gujarat,” he said.

Calling him a scholar and institute builder, PM Modi said that Malhotra was also an excellent educationist.

He said, “I learned from his family how he achieved double promotion during his school years. He completed matriculation and graduation before the schedule. His Hindi proficiency meant that the task of translating the speeches of Dr. Siama Prasad Mukarji came to him often.

PM Modi further wrote that one of Malhotra’s “biggest symptoms” was his role as a builder, he was called one of the top leaders who established and nurtured several institutions related to RSS “.

He said, “Through his efforts, many cultural, educational and social organizations found development and mentorship. These institutions became talent and service nurseries, which forward the vision of a self-reliant, value-driven society,” he said.

Speaking about Malhotra’s contribution to the game, PM Modi said, “Archery was his great passion, and he served as the president of the Archery Association of India for several decades. Under his leadership, Indian archery gained global recognition, and he worked to provide athletes with platforms and opportunities. His role in sports administration considered public life.”

“The influence of Shri VK Malhotra ji is not only on the positions organized by him, but he carried forward in ethos – to serve before himself, to be inherent in values, and to adopt challenges with courage and perseverance. He was an ideal party person, could never say anything that could affect our Karikartus or Shyalla,” PM Modi said.

With his tribute, the Prime Minister said, “A few days ago, I was in the program to inaugurate the new headquarters of Delhi BJP, where I recalled Mr. VK Malhotra ji.

PM Modi said, “His life and achievements can remain a role model for generations of public servants in the coming time.”
