PM Modi says that the divine light of mother Kushmanda brightens everyone’s life

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday greeted the countrymen on the fourth day of Shardia Navratri, which is dedicated to Goddess Kushmanda.

In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “During Navratri, today I pray again and again in the fourth form of Goddess Mata, Maa Kushmanda! I pray to the Goddess Devi, who shines like the Sun, that she blesses all her devotees with prosperity and happiness.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also resorted to social media to congratulate people on auspicious occasion.

The Chief Minister posted on X, “The fourth form of Maa Durga, Maa Kushmanda built the universe with her infinite power. Through her worship, we get mental peace, physical strength and inner strength, which empowers us to face every challenge.”

“On this holy occasion, the blessings of Maa Kushmanda can fill everyone’s life with happiness, prosperity and peace. Jai Mata Di,” he said.

Goddess Kushmanda, whose names include “Ku” (Tiny), “Ushma” (energetic), and “Enda” (egg), are honored on the fourth day of Navratri.

She rides a lioness and has eight hands, holding ‘Kamanal’, Dhanush and Arrow, and ‘Amrit Kalash’, ‘Japa Mala’, ‘Gada’, and ‘Chakra’ in her right hand.

Goddess Kushmanda is considered the highest divinity of the solar system in Hindu philosophy. It is believed that by worshiping Mother Kushmanda, all her devotees give the ability to compete all diseases, sorrows and flaws.

A large number of devotees thrilled temples across the country. People started lining outside the temples in the morning.

Navri, which means in Sanskrit, ‘Nine this festival is celebrated with great devotion all over India, in which rituals and prayers honor the goddess in various forms.
