PM Modi says

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday credited the Make in India Initiative for the success of Operation Sindoor, saying that it reflects the strength of India’s indigenous defense capabilities.

Speaking at the ‘Next-Jen Mobility for a Next-Jen City’ program, PM Modi praised the youth of Bengaluru and Karnataka for his role in building India’s defense power.

“I am visiting Bangalore for the first time after the historic operation vermilion. This operation displayed the emergence of a bold and determined New India. In a decisive step, our armed forces crossed the borders, carried out a deep strike, which forced to capture Pakistan. In this achievement, in this achievement,” PM Modi said.

He also attracted a parallel between India’s rise and the development of Bengaluru, which highlights the role of the city in the global IT region.

PM Modi said, “We are seeing Bengaluru as a true symbol of the rise of a new India, a city that proudly placed India on a global IT map. Driving force is the extraordinary talent and simplicity of its people behind Bengaluru’s remarkable success story.”

During his visit, PM Modi inaugurated the yellow line of Bangalore Metro and laid the foundation stone for the Metro Phase -3 project. He said that India’s rapid economic development was inspired by the “reform, demonstration and conversion” approach of the government.

“Today, India is the fastest growing major economy in the world. In the last 11 years, our economy has increased from 10th place to top five. Now we are moving fast towards becoming one of the top three economies. How we achieved this pace? We got it in the spirit of improving, performance and conversion. We achieved this pace with good intentions and honest efforts.”

Speaking about the inauguration of many projects, PM Modi said, “In the past, the Government of India has started schemes of thousands of crores of rupees for Bengaluru. Today this campaign is getting new pace. Today, Bangalore Metro Yellow Line has been inaugurated. The country has been inaugurated.

The yellow line runs from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bomasandra, which is over 19 km with 16 stations, and is part of the Metro Phase -2 project, which is around ₹ 7,160 crore. With its opening, Bengaluru’s operational metro network is now more than 96 km.

PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for the 15,610 -Crores Metro Phase -3 project, which will cover more than 44 km with 31 tall stations, connecting residential, commercial, industrial and academic hubs, with 31 high stations.

At KSR railway station, he flagged off three Wande Bharat Express trains from Bangalore to Belagavi, Amritsar to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, and Nagpur (AJNI). (AI)
