Prime Minister Narendra Modi has landed at Waterkloof Air Force Base in South Africa to attend the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa from 21 to 23 November.

Leaders of the world’s 20 largest economies will gather for discussions focused on the theme ‘Solidarity, Equality and Stability’.

US President Donald Trump is not attending this meeting. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other world leaders have reached Johannesburg.

PM Modi, invited by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, said he would present India’s vision with the vision of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and ‘One Earth, One Family and One Future’.

“The summit will be an opportunity to discuss major global issues,” he said. He said he was also looking forward to meeting the Indian diaspora in South Africa during his three-day visit. PM Modi will also participate in the sixth IBSA summit.

“I look forward to my talks with the leaders of partner countries,” he said. The African Union becomes a member of the G20 when India hosts the meeting in 2023.
