Yesterday, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone and launched many projects related to the health sector in Delhi. During this period, he said: “There was a time when people’s houses, land and jewelry were sold for treatment. When the poor man heard the cost of treating a serious illness, his soul trembled. He could not get it due to lack of money. The helplessness and poverty of treatment breaks the heart of the poor. I cannot see my poor brothers and sisters in this helplessness and that is why the “Ayushman Bharat” scheme was born.
All senior citizens above 70 years of age will benefit from ‘Ayushman Yojana’
“The government has decided that the government will bear the cost of treatment for the poor up to a maximum of Rs 5 lakh,” he said. Around 40 million poor people in the country benefit from the Ayushman Bharat scheme. At the time of the election, I assured that all senior citizens above 70 years of age would be covered by the “Ayushman Yojana” in the third term. This guarantee is being fulfilled. Now all people over the age of 70 across the country can receive free treatment in hospitals. Such senior citizens will be issued Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card. This plan will prove to be a milestone. If the elders in the family have Ayushman Vaya Vandana cards, then the family expenses will be less and the worries will be less.
