New Delhi, November 18 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met ‘Modi’s Mission’ author Barjis Desai.
Responding to a tweet by author Desai, the PM said on Twitter: “Pleased to meet eminent lawyer Shri Barjis Desai ji and receive a copy of his book.”
“Today I had the pleasure of presenting my book, MODI’S MISSION, to the Honorable Prime Minister,” Barjis Desai said on X.
The book was released in Mumbai last month in the presence of Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat and others.
Speaking after the release of the book, Governor Devvrat said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi took many impossible decisions in his life, such as removing Article 370, resolving the Ram Janmabhoomi issue peacefully and raising India’s prestige globally, which he termed as proof of his strong will.
“The book not only reviews the life of PM Modi but also delves into how a person’s values, consciousness and outlook are formed to strive for the nation. The Prime Minister, having experienced both the path of service and sacrifice, resolved to awaken nationalism through Sangh work. Under his leadership, the country has witnessed landmark decisions like abrogation of Article 370, construction of Ram Temple, Citizenship Act and ban on triple talaq. Behind all these decisions, there is a spirit of national consciousness.”
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the book is different from other writings on PM Modi as it explains “how a person’s values and character are formed amidst hardships.”
He said that the author has beautifully portrayed the journey of PM Modi from an ordinary childhood to becoming India’s most transformational leader.
Fadnavis said, “Modi ji’s early life was full of struggle. He understood sacrifice at a very young age – he would eat less so that his family could get more food. From the age of nine he understood what selflessness meant.”
He said, “He dedicated his life to a mission. No one had imagined that an RSS pracharak would one day become the Prime Minister of India. The author has shown how Modi addressed ideological challenges from Article 370 to Ram Mandir, triple talaq and judicial reforms with deep consciousness and clarity.”
