Dhar, September 17 (IANS), on the occasion of World Minister Narendra Modi, Vishwakarma Jayati, in a heartfelt appeal, urged women of India – mothers and sisters from every corner of the country – to participate in the free health screening to be held in nationwide camps.
Addressing a large gathering in Dhar in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday, PM Modi emphasized the importance of the good of women and said, “Your health is precious, and the government will bear every cost.”
This nationwide campaign will run till Vijayadashami on 2 October, strengthening the belief that a healthy woman is the foundation of a strong family and a strong nation.
During the incident, the Prime Minister started the eighth edition of the country’s nutrition month, highlighting the government’s commitment to reduce maternal and infant mortality.
He shared that more than 6.5 crore pregnant women have already benefited from this initiative, Rs 19,000 crore has been transferred directly to their accounts.
On this day alone, more than Rs 450 crore was deposited for more than 1.5 million women through a single click, with an important step in maternal welfare.
In a step to combat genetic diseases among tribal communities, Prime Minister Modi presented Aradhana Kanalmi Sickle Cell Genetic Counseling Card. He also paid tribute to Bagdevi and Lord Vishwakarma of Dhar Bhojshala, who calls on cultural reverence and unity among the citizens.
Looking further, the Prime Minister called 140 crore citizens of India to unite in the creation of a developed nation.
He identified the four pillars required for this mission: women power, youth power, poor and farmers.
The incident in Dhar was dedicated to empower these groups, in which special attention was paid to women’s health and tribal inclusion.
Prime Minister Modi also confirmed India’s commitment to national security.
Recalling Operation Sindoor, he said how Indian forces destroyed terrorist camps and brought Pakistan “in the blink of an eye” on their knees. He recently referred to the confession by a Pakistani terrorist as India’s strength and evidence.
“This is the new India,” he announced, “We do not bow to nuclear threats – we strike in the heart of the enemy.”
While reflecting history, he called for the heritage of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and the role of the Indian Army in freeing Hyderabad.
He reduced the neglect of the past of such bravery and announced that 17 September, once marked by the massacre, is now proudly celebrated as Hyderabad Liberation Day.
To support employment and farmers, the Prime Minister inaugurated India’s largest integrated textile park under the PM Mitra Yojana. He also launched the Madhya Pradesh version of Adi Seva Parv, which aims to connect tribal communities with important government schemes.
