Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with the beneficiaries of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program during a visit to Maldives on Saturday.
In a post on X, PM Modi said that ITEC initiative focuses on capacity building. “It was a pleasure to interact with the beneficiaries of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program. The initiative focuses on capacity building. The group includes police officers, government officials, paramedics and nurses. They actually adopt a friendship of India-garland friendship and deep-room relations, which unilaterally do our two nations,” they wrote.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi participated in the 60th Independence Day celebrations of Maldives at Republic Square in men. He was honored as ‘Guest of Honor’ in this program, in which Maldives President Mohammad Muizu also participated.
The official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs Ministry, Randhir Jiswal said, “PM Narendra Modi today interacted with leaders of various political parties in men. Thank you for India’s continuous support on developmental aid for the welfare of Maldivians.”
Prime Minister Modi also met Maldives Vice President Hussain Mohammad Lathef. In a post on X, the office of the President of Maldives said, “Vice President His Majesty Uz. Hussain Mohammad Lathef has paid a courtesy on the Prime Minister of India, His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi. Two dignitaries are engaged in warm, cordial discussions, which reflect the Anthered Aspiration.
Prime Minister Modi also underlined that shared values guide the important India-Maledives partnership. (AI)
