On Saturday, PM Modi visited Varanasi, where he released the 20th installment of PM Kisan Saman Nidhi, in which an amount of more than Rs 20,500 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of 9.7 crore farmers.
With this release, the total disbursement under this scheme has exceeded Rs 3.90 lakh crore since its establishment.
The PM-Kisan Yojana is a central region’s scheme which was launched by the Prime Minister in February 2019 to meet the financial needs of land-organizing farmers. Under the scheme, a financial benefit of Rs 6,000 per year is transferred to the bank accounts associated with the Aadhaar of farmers through direct profit transfer (DBT) mode in three equal installments.
He inaugurated several development projects worth about Rs 2,200 crore in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh and inaugurated several development projects.
On his 51st visit to his Lok Sabha constituency, Varanasi, PM Modi inaugurated the railway overbridge at Herttpur to widen and strengthen the Varanasi-Bhadohi Road and Chitani-Shul Tanseshwar Road, as well as to reduce the crowd in the crowd on Mohan Sara-Edlpura Road.

He laid the foundation stone for restoration work in Kardameshwar Mahadev Temple, development of Cancer, the birthplace of many freedom fighters, the city’s convenience center in Sariranath, Rishi Mandvi, and Ramnagar Zones, Redevelopment of the ancestors of Munshi Premchand in Lamhi and among others. He laid the foundation stone for the development of an urban Miawaki forest in Kanchanpur and redevelopment and beautification of Shahd Udian and 21 other parks. (AI)
