Dhar, September 17 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday made an emotional appeal to the people of India to adopt indigenous products and strengthen the country’s self -reliance.
Speaking on the occasion of his 75th birthday at a rally in Dhar (Madhya Pradesh), PM Modi said, “When the rates of low GST (Goods and Services Tax) are going to be effective on the auspicious occasion of Navri from 22 September, all of us should accept indigenous products.”
He emphasized that the route of a developed India lies in empowering local industries and embracing indigenous goods.
The Prime Minister’s call for indigenous products is not only economic – it was deeply emotional and patriotic.
He urged citizens to proud of products made in India and support local artisans, manufacturers and entrepreneurs.
In a symbolic gesture, he advised the state government to ensure that every shop is “proudly, it is indigenous (proudly, it is indigenous)” a board should be displayed to read. “
To strengthen the message, he led the crowd to chant the slogan, causing a wave of enthusiasm and national pride in the assembly.
PM Modi’s speech in Dhar was part of a comprehensive campaign to promote Atmibhar India, or self -sufficient India. He linked the indigenous movement to the economic future of the country, saying that embracing indigenous goods will not only promote local employment, but will also reduce dependence on foreign products.
With the upcoming decrease in GST rates, he said, time is mature for every Indian to make a conscious option in favor of Swadeshi.
The Prime Minister’s message resonated with the audience, many of which responded with mantras and applause.
His emphasis on cultural pride and economic empowerment hit a raga, especially in an area that is known for its rich heritage and craftsmanship.
By aligning the indigenous appeal with the spirit of the celebration of Navratri, PM Modi added a layer of cultural importance to the economic message.
