Wide receiver DK Metcalf was seen punching a fan during this pittsburgh Steelers win 29-24 detroit Lion.
The incident occurred in the second quarter of Sunday’s game at Detroit’s Ford Field when Metcalf went into the stands to interact with a fan.
Television footage showed Metcalfe grabbing the fan’s blue wig before punching the supporter in the face.
The fan, who was leaning on the railing during the pair’s discussion, did not seem too upset after the incident and raised his hands in celebration.
“(Metcalf) came in because a fan in the stands had a ‘For Pittsburgh’ jersey in his hand,” cbs sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson said on TV’s station coverage.
“He went over there and the fan said something to him, apparently.
“Metcalf didn’t like what he said and you saw the swipe there. No one from the Steelers came to him and said anything.”
The 28-year-old was allowed to remain in the game as officials did not witness the altercation.
But the Steelers will now have to wait to see if Metcalf remains disciplined before next week’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
