David Gilmour Said that nothing can ever bring him back together pink Floyd band friend roger waters,

The guitarist has apparently rejected any suggestion that the pair will put their differences aside and perform again.

Gilmour and Waters have been feuding for decades since leaving the group for “Another Brick in the Wall” in 1985 – and in 2024, the pair Sold its rights to Sony Music For more than half a billion dollars.

In a new interview, when asked what would make him consider sharing a stage with Waters in the future, Gilmour explained Wire: “Nothing. There’s no possible way I could do that.”

Gilmour has previously taken aim at Waters, claiming he “supports genocidal and autocratic dictators like Putin” – and earlier this year, Gilmour’s wife, songwriter Polly Samson, accused Waters of being an “anti-Semite to the core” in an online spat over Israel and Ukraine.

Waters responded on his official account, saying he was “aware of inflammatory and wildly inaccurate comments made about him by Polly Samson on Twitter, which he completely denies”.

In the new interview, Samson said she spoke out against Waters because she did not want there to be any confusion about which member of Pink Floyd she was married to.

“If they knew you were married to someone from Pink Floyd, half the time people would look at me really weird and it was really uncomfortable and I just wanted to draw a line and make it clear that these were not my views or the views of the person I was married to,” she said.

In 2024, Pink Floyd sold their musical rights, as well as their name-and-likeness rights, in one of the largest music deals in history.

Gilmour said the deal stemmed from a desire to “get rid of the arguments involved in making a decision and keeping it going.”

He said the sale was less about “a financial standpoint” and more about “getting out of a long-standing mud bath.”
