Bigg Boss 17 reached an exciting climax on January 28 with stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui emerging as the winner of the season. Abhishek Kumar secured the first runner-up position, Mannara Chopra secured the third runner-up position, Ankita Lokhande secured the fourth runner-up position and Arun Mashetty secured the fifth runner-up position. Adding to the festivities, Munawar was doubly happy as he celebrated his 32nd birthday on the same day. The comedian celebrated the special moment by sharing his victory with his friends on the sets, where he was also joined by former Bigg Boss winner, rapper MC Stan and music producer Raghav Sharma. The trio proudly posed with the championship trophy, attracting fans’ attention.

In the photo, Munawar looks stylish in a black and white outfit embellished with chains, while MC Stan shows off his glamor with his signature style and outfit. Stan has been a big supporter of the comedian throughout the season and Munawar was often seen cheering for the rapper when he was a part of Bigg Boss 16. While expectations are leaning towards Ankita Lokhande or Abhishek Kumar winning the BB17 trophy, Munawar is known for his performances. Thanks to the overwhelming support from fans and industry friends, the strategy game emerged as the winner.

After spending 105 days in the Bigg Boss 17 house, Munawar Faruqui defeated his best friend and actor Abhishek Kumar along with 15 other contestants. Soon after winning the show, he shared his excitement on Instagram by posting the first picture of himself holding the famous trophy alongside show host Salman Khan. Sharing the photo, the stand-up comedian wrote, “Thank you all so much for the love and support. The trophy has finally arrived in Dongri. Special thanks to Big Brother Mr. Salman Khan for all the guidance.”

Speaking to The Indian Express after the win, Munawar Faruqui said: “It was an unreal feeling, in terms of my journey, at that moment I could feel the weight of the trophy. This trophy took a toll on me. A big price to pay, but it’s worth it. In the end, there’s a lot more that matters than just bringing the trophy home. I don’t agree with my personal life being dragged to this level. But things are not in my control . This is a situation I don’t want to face, but I have no choice. I’m not proud of anything I’ve done, but I have to move on now and make things better. I’ve been through this mentally many times Breaking down and not spending a day without crying under the blanket or in the bathroom. I felt helpless and mentally affected. But I had to face it.”

Apart from the trophy, Munawar also won a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh and a Hyundai Creta.
