A man from Jaipur, Rajasthan, recently became the proud owner of a property Arthur 450 The electric scooter is priced between Rs 1,09,947 and Rs 1,44,871 (ex-showroom).

What makes this purchase unique is its unusual payment method – the entire amount was paid in 10-rupee coins, Mint reports.

Ather Energy CEO Tarun Mehta shared the exciting news on social media, posting a photo of the “new Ather owner” receiving the keys. Mehta’s tweet exclaimed: “Ather’s new owner just bought himself a 450 in Jaipur… all in 10 rupee coins!” In the photo, there are many boxes filled with 10 rupee coins on the table bag.

While Mehta did not specify the exact model of the Ather 450 series purchased by the Jaipur man, the Bengaluru-based electric vehicle startup offers three models of the Ather 450 series: Ather 450Apex, Ather 450X and Ather 450S. The models are priced around Rs 1.10,000 to Rs 1.45 lakh (valid ex-showroom, Jaipur) and on-road prices are likely to touch Rs 1.75 lakh.

In addition to this, Ather Energy is gearing up to launch its next-generation electric scooter, the Rizta, targeting urban consumers who seek practicality over performance. The upcoming Ather Rizta is expected to come with equipment and features such as sophisticated design, ample space for two passengers, LED lights, fully digital instrument cluster, spacious pedals, multiple riding modes and front disc brake.
