Photos of Nasrallah on the ruins, gunpowder smoke… ground report on the destruction of the Lebanese Hezbollah headquarters

A direct war has been going on between Israel and Iran since Tuesday night. Earlier, Israel destroyed Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beirut, the Lebanese capital, through rapid air strikes. Hezbollah leader Nasrallah was also killed in the same attack. After his death, Iran and Hezbollah were thrown into panic. More than 80 bombs were dropped on Hezbollah headquarters. Each bomb contains an average of one ton of explosives. It was the largest attack on Hezbollah in history.

Following the attack on Hezbollah headquarters on Friday, September 27, Aji Tucker’s team arrived at Ground Zero in southern Beirut and assessed the situation. Aaj Tak reporter Ashraf Wani was the first Indian journalist to reach the bombed Hezbollah headquarters, reaching the site and entering the ruins of the destroyed building. During this time, he told us that this is where Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli airstrike. At the time of the attack, Nasrallah was meeting underground with senior commanders of the terrorist group.

Thick smoke is still rising from the wreckage of the 6th floor

Hezbollah allowed media access to the area for the first time since the attack. Since then, a large number of reporters rushed to the site on Wednesday to inspect. However, the area has been completely evacuated since Friday. Hundreds of thousands of people have been moved from here to safer places. The Israeli attack was so powerful that a six-story building was razed to the ground in the blink of an eye. Vehicles parked nearby were buried under the rubble. Currently only debris is visible in the area. Many days have passed since the area was attacked, but smoke still rises from the ruins and the smell of gunpowder lingers. Concerns remain over when Israel may launch airstrikes in the area.

Retired Iranian commander led Hezbollah in war

Hezbollah placed a photo of Nasrallah on the ruins of the building and declared him a martyr. Now only Hezbollah fighters and their supporters are here. They were seen chanting Nasrallah slogans. Hezbollah has also changed its strategy on the Lebanese border. Given Israel’s Iron Dome’s ability to stop rockets and missiles, Hezbollah is now targeting Israeli forces trying to enter Lebanon. On Wednesday, an Israeli army contingent fired some 80 rockets. Two Israeli soldiers were killed and many others were injured in the incident. It is understood that a retired commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is leading the fight against Hezbollah. Under these circumstances, Israel’s ground war in Lebanon will not be easy.
