PhD scholar seriously injured in road accident in Sambal

Srinagar, 14 July (KDC): On Monday evening, an army Casper near Ashm village in Bandipora was allegedly seriously injured by a Casper vehicle.

Reports reaching the Srinagar -based news assembly agency Kashmir.com identified as Zubair Ahmed, PhD scholar and son of late Ghulam Nabi from Ajas, were taken to CHC Sumbal before being sent to Srinagar Hospital in critical condition.

Locals alleged that the army vehicle was involved, but the authorities have not yet confirmed the circumstances.

An army officer said that the person was trying to overtake a narrow stretch. His bike slipped and hit the vehicle and was unfortunately injured. He said, “helped him in all possible ways, including rapid withdrawal,” he said.

A police officer said that they are completely investigating the incident from all angles and necessary legal action will be taken accordingly. (KDC)
