PETA protesters kicked out of Crufts dog show

ANIMAL RIGHTS PROTESTERS were kicked out of the Crufts Dog Show after trying to run onto the arena floor.

Animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) said that at the annual dog show in Birmingham, “a supporter holding a sign reading ‘Boycott Breeders’ attempted to storm the arena floor before the winner was announced”.

Activists also displayed banners with the same message to spectators in the stands.

A spokesman for the Kennel Club, which is behind Crufts, said protesters were “quickly dispersed” by security services to “ensure the safety and welfare of dogs and owners”.

Protests didn’t disrupt the fourth day of Cruft’s competition for long, with an Australian shepherd named Viking taking the best-in-show award.
