A government spokesperson said: “We were recently informed that a third-party subcontinent for a supplier experienced a cyber security incident, including unauthorized access to a small number of emails that had basic personal information.

“We take data security very seriously and are going above their legal duties in informing all potential affected persons.

"This incident has no threat to the safety of individuals, nor has an agreement with any government systems."

In a statement published on August 10 to inflate the Jet Center website, it said that the violation included data from January and March 2024.

"We have reported the incident to the Information Commissioner Office (ICO) and are actively working with the relevant UK Cyber authorities, including the National Crime Agency (NCA) and the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), to support our investigation and response", the company said.

The jet center was inflated, assuming that data loss was "limited to email accounts".

However, the MOD notice issued on Friday stated that further individual information was violated as "some information is required by ground-handling companies to enable flights to depart and arrival".
