New Delhi: Union minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) founder Jitan Ram Manjhi on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, accusing him of misleading people with unrealistic promises of employment generation and alleging that Tejashwi and the grand alliance leader are making false claims ahead of the elections to influence voters.
Speaking to IANS, Manjhi said, “Be it Tejashwi Yadav or anyone else, who is currently out of the government and is showing no signs of joining it anytime soon, he can make many claims. You must have heard him saying that he will give jobs to every household.”
He said, “They are misleading people and making false claims. People of Bihar understand their strategy. Nitish Kumar is doing everything for the betterment of Bihar because he is capable of it. These people are not capable of doing anything, they just spread fake claims. People should not believe them.”
Supporting Manjhi’s remarks, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary also criticized Tejashwi Yadav’s promises.
Referring to the RJD rule under the leadership of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, Chaudhary said, “These people only make tall claims. Earlier they had said that they would give government jobs to 2.7 crore people. But for 15 years, their father and mother looted Bihar. The people of Bihar have seen it. Their entire family could not give government jobs to even 1 lakh people and everyone in Bihar knows this.”
The comments came in response to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s press conference held at his Polo Road residence on Wednesday, where he made two important announcements ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
In the press conference held at his residence on Polo Road on Wednesday, Tejashwi Yadav made two big announcements in view of the upcoming elections.
He said, “The people of Bihar have made up their mind for change. They are troubled by poverty, inflation and unemployment. The promises we had made earlier were copied by the Nitish government. Today we are making two big announcements for the people of Bihar, which will be implemented as soon as the Grand Alliance government is formed. Whatever Tejashwi Yadav says, he does it. Because we have fulfilled it in our 17 months of tenure.” The promises we made during the last elections.”
