PCB Chairman makes important statement in front of Champions Trophy, says victory in cricket matches is important

This time the right to host the 2025 Champions Trophy is in the hands of Pakistan. India categorically refused to participate in the tour of Pakistan. Therefore, many questions arise regarding the organization of this competition. The Pakistan Cricket Board and the International Cricket Federation are in ongoing negotiations over this. At the same time, it is reported that the Pakistan Cricket Board has put forward conditions to the International Cricket Council to host the Champions Trophy in a hybrid mode, but by 2031, all ICC matches held in India should adopt a hybrid mode Carry out the model. Meanwhile, PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi made an important statement.

What did Naqvi say?

Speaking to reporters, Naqvi said he did not want to comment too much as it could make matters worse. They expressed their views to the ICC and India also expressed its views. Our efforts are designed to ensure that everyone benefits. He said cricket has to win and that is the most important thing. But respect everyone. He will do what is best for cricket. Whatever plan he adopts, it will be equal. Naqvi further said in the statement that Pakistan’s pride is of paramount importance. They have to ensure cricket wins but Pakistan’s pride is also intact.

It’s cold in Pakistan

The Pakistan Cricket Board had earlier threatened to boycott the tournament if full hosting rights were not secured and India’s demand for a hybrid format was accepted. But now Pakistan seems to be avoiding this statement. When he was asked about his previous statement, he said let’s see what happens. Their efforts are to ensure that there is no one-sided arrangement. It should not happen that he goes to India and India does not come to his country. The idea is to resolve this issue once and for all on equal terms.

PCB sources in Karachi told PTI that the Pakistan Cricket Board has also asked the board to get a higher share in the annual revenue cycle to agree to the hybrid model. Due to safety concerns, India will play its matches in Dubai in this hybrid format, including the match against Pakistan. The championship trophy will be held from February to March. PCB sources earlier told PTI that the current situation is that PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has said that it will accept hosting the Champions Trophy in hybrid mode only if the board agrees that all future ICC tournaments will be held under this system and in Pakistan. I won’t go to India to play.
