Pawan Singh’s return to BJP will promote NDA in Bihar: Upendra Kushwaha

Patna, October 1 (IANS) Rashtri Lok Morch (RLM) head and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha said on Wednesday that Bhojpuri film star Pawan Singh’s Firatia Janata Party (BJP) was re -entered, especially the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will be greatly strengthened in Bahar.

Kushwaha, who played an important role in the hope of Singh’s re-entry into the BJP, recalled that both he and Singh contested against each other in the final Lok Sabha elections from Karkat, where they were defeated by CPI-ML candidate Rajaram Singh Kushwaha.

Speaking to reporters in Sasram, Upendra Kushwaha said, “Actor Pawan Singh, who joined the NDA, will definitely benefit from the alliance. In the final Lok Sabha elections, the vote division gave adverse results.

In 2024, Pawan Singh got second place due to the division of votes in Karkat Lok Sabha seat, and Upendra Kushwaha came third.

He said that the NDA is a strong strategy for the upcoming assembly elections, and Singh’s return is part of that big plan.

Kushwaha said, “Pawan Singh has always worked in favor of strengthening the NDA. His return will definitely consolidate support, especially in Shahabad and Magadha,” Kushwaha said.

The former Union Minister inaugurated a workshop in Ved block in Sasram.

Kushwaha and Singh met in the presence of senior BJP leader Vinod Taudi a day earlier, in New Delhi on Tuesday.

After that meeting, Pawan Singh also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President and Union Minister JP Nadda, which led to political speculation in the state.

The chain of meetings has increased political activity in Bihar, suggesting that Singh’s return to the NDA may consolidate the votes of Kushwaha and Rajput in the upcoming assembly elections.
