Pavirra Punia says she committed suicide after financial crisis

By | Published | No Comments

Pavitrra Punia, who started her acting career on television and rose to fame through reality shows like MTV Splitsvilla 3 and Bigg Boss 14, recently shared her struggles after leaving the Bigg Boss house. In an interview with ETimes, she spoke about the financial challenges she faced due to delayed payments during the Covid-19 pandemic. After Bigg Boss, things became more difficult as she found it difficult to get a job in the entertainment industry. Pavitra described this period as the darkest period of her life and revealed that she spent all the income she earned from Big Boss.

She talked about the importance of taking responsibility and said: “It’s not about being rich, it’s about responsibility. For example, if I was in the hospital, I wouldn’t ask my mother for a credit card or a debit card. That’s a child’s responsibility.”

Pavitrra Punia faced more challenges as her father met with an accident about a month after she left the Bigg Boss house. The next year and a half was difficult, leading to struggles and depression, even to the point of suicide, Electronic Times reported. Pavitra thanks her family for their unwavering support that helped her overcome a dark phase in her life.

To start the new year on a positive note, the actress undertook a spiritual journey of Vaishnodevi to seek the blessings of the goddess. Pavitra Punia had earlier told Digital Times that she was a “very religious person” and a staunch devotee of Goddess Durga. She added, “I started my New Year with divine blessings and what better way to start the New Year with Maa Vaishno Devi, the Mother of All. Being able to spend it with her and surrender to all that is her, will Always the way I want to end the year and start the new one. Total surrender. Whatever happens, is good, and what is past, is for the best.”
