Paul Walker’s daughter Mei Duoyu officially files for divorce from her husband

Meadow Rain, the daughter of late actor Paul Walker, has officially filed for divorce from husband Louis Thornton-Allan. Meadow married her ex-partner in 2021 and announced their separation in a joint statement last December. Within two months of the announcement, the former two decided to officially go their separate ways. Legal documents recently obtained by The Blast confirm the news. Paul Walker, widely acclaimed for the “Fast and Furious” film series, passed away in a car accident on November 30, 2013.

Vin Diesel, a close friend of the late Hollywood star and one of the cast members of the film, walked Meadow down the red carpet. Meadow Walker and Louis Thornton-Allan confirmed their relationship in July 2021. A few months later, they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in the Dominican Republic. At the time, Meadow revealed in an interaction with Vogue that COVID-19-induced restrictions had “impacted” wedding plans.

Due to travel restrictions, Louis’ family and many of his close friends were unable to attend. However, she described the wedding as a “perfect and personal” celebration with a “relaxed and simple” ceremony. “Louis and I knew exactly what we wanted from the beginning. It was a very intimate celebration,” she said.

In a now-disappeared Instagram Story, Meadow Walker and Louise Thornton-Allen shared a joint post, which read: “After three wonderful years of marriage, we have come to terms with an amicable separation,” in a statement wrote. “This is truly a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy. We maintain love and respect for each other and will continue to support each other.”

Neither Meadow Walker nor Louise Thornton Allen mentioned a reason for the divorce, saying it was a mutual decision. The pair unfollowed each other on social media and deleted almost all photos of them together.

Speaking of Paul Walker, the actor left his paradise when his daughter was 15 years old. After his death at the age of 40, Meadow continued his father’s legacy and founded the Paul Walker Foundation in 2015. The organization is “dedicated to spontaneous acts of kindness” that help empower young people and support the circumstances in which they live.
