Patna, October 1 (IANS) The final voter list for all 14 assembly constituencies of Patna district was officially released after a special intensive amendment (SIR) process under the direction of the Election Commission.
According to the final voter list, there are 48,15,294 eligible voters in the district – 46,51,694 (92.16 percent) voters from the voter list issued on 1 August, and 1,63,600 voters were added to the electoral rolls after 1 August.
Of the 48,15,294 eligible voters, there are 25,40,363 male and 22,74,774 females, and 157 are third-ling voters.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, 49,01,176 voters were in the district, including 25,76,433 men, 23,24,570 women and 173 third-ling voters.
District Magistrate cum District Election Officer, Tyagarajan SM reported that the delayed voters were due to the death, permanent transfer and repetition outside the district or state (the same person registered in many places).
After the final voter list, the highest number of voters is in the DIGHA assembly constituency, where the total voters are 4,56,448, including 2,38,689 men, 2,17,739 females and 20 third-ling voters.
The lowest voters are in Paliganj assembly constituency, where there are 2,83,537 total voters, including 1,49,721 male voters and 1,33,815 female voters, and one voter is of third gender.
The third-lingo voters in the final voter list released on 30 September are 157. There are 25 third Linga in Kumhar assembly constituency in Patna district, 24 near Patna Sahib, 24 near Bankipur, 20 near Digha, and the remaining 64 third gender voters are in nine assemblies. Masaur is the only constituency where no voter is registered in this category.
The Election Commission of India has launched a large -scale awareness campaign in Patna to ensure to include every eligible citizen in the electoral role and to encourage participation in the upcoming elections.
The hard and soft copies of the final voter lists are assigned to representatives of all recognized political parties.
