Death of Patient Is associated with a cyber attack NHS Last year.
Cyber criminals attacked two major NHS trusts, delaying more than 1,000 cancer treatment, canceled 2,000 outpatient appointments and postponed over 1,000 operations.
Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust said on Wednesday; A patient died during Cyber attack As a result of long waiting time for blood test results.
The trust said in a statement, “A patient died unexpectedly unexpectedly. As it happens, as a standard exercise, we made a detailed review of their care.”
“The investigation into the patient safety incident identified several contribution factors, causing the patient to die.
“This included a long wait for blood test results due to cyber attack affecting cyber attack pathology services at that time.
“We have met with the patient’s family, and shared the findings of the security check with them.”
