Kolkata, 19 September (IANS) Partha Chatterjee, former education minister of West Bengal and General Secretary of Trinumool Congress, emphasized irregularities in the appointments of school jobs by West Bengal School Services Commission (WBSSC), even before taking his post, former Chairman of the Commission, Chataranjan Mondal told a special CBI court here.
The trial process in the Central Bureau of Investigation-registrations cases allegedly in the Central Bureau of Investigation-Tetted Affairs Scam allegedly began with a recording of a charge sheet filed by the CBI and the statements of various witnesses nominated in the supplementary charge sheet in the Central Bureau of Investigation-Penalized Affairs.
On Friday, Mondal was presented as the first witness in cases, and during his testimony, he made this explosive statement in court. He was the President of the WBSSC between June 2011 and October 2013, and during that period, Chatterjee was not the Minister of Education, but was the Minister of Commerce and Industry.
During that period, the post was organized by the current Education Minister, Bratya Basu. Mondal also said that although he was appointed as the Chairman of the WBSSC for a four -year term in 2011, he decided to quit voluntarily after two years and six months, as he did not want to bend in front of the pressure for irregular recruitments by Chatterjee and also the then Trinumool General Secretary and Rajya Sabha Member, Mukul Roy.
However, Mondal clearly stated that Basu had never put so much immoral pressure on it during his period as the Chairman of the WBSSC.
Subsequently, Chatterjee’s lawyer questioned Mondal whether the latter was a member of the manifesto committee of a particular political party in the latter.
For that question, Mondal replied that he joined the BJP before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, such as many, and he became a member of the party’s manifesto committee for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
However, he refused to make any statement to the CBI during his tenure or as a BJP leader in a school-work case, and there was no indirect or direct pressure on him since any quarter to make any statement on any line in the case.
The process of recording the statements of witnesses in cases will continue on Saturday, as well as Monday. Following the process of recording the statements of witnesses in cases, the process of argument and counter -protest in matters will begin by counsels of various parties.
