Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday appreciated Make-in-India for the success of the Indian Army during Operation Sindoor. He also said that people living in Kashmir (POK) living in Pakistan are their own and one day, of course, will return to the mainstream.
Rajnath Singh told the industry captains, “Make-in-India is an essential component in our national security and played an important role in India’s effective action against terrorism during Operation Sindoor,”
He was addressing the inauguration of the Indian Industry (CII) annual trade summit in New Delhi today.
According to an official statement by the Ministry of Defense (MOD), Singh said the execution model for the AMCA program to build a 5th -generation fighter aircraft in India as an adventure and decisive step, which would take the domestic aerospace sector to maximum heights. “Under the AMCA project, the plan is to develop five prototypes, which will be after the series production. It is a major milepost in the history of the Make-in-India program,” he said.
Highlighting the success of Make-in-India during Operation Sindoor, Rajnath Singh said that the Indian armed forces would not be able to take effective action against terrorism in Pakistan and Poke if the nation would not have strengthened its indigenous defense capabilities.
The Defense Minister described Make-in-India as important for safety and prosperity, saying that the use of indigenous systems during Operation Sindoor has proved that India has the power to enter any enemy armor in India. “We destroyed terrorist hideouts and then military locations. We could do a lot, but we presented a great example of strength and coordination of restraint,” he said.
Rajnath Singh said that India again designed and defined its strategy and response against terrorism, and Pakistan realized that running a business of terrorism is not cost effective; Rather, it may have to pay a heavy price. He said that India has re -presented the scope of their engagement and dialogue with Pakistan, and now talks will be held only on terrorism and Poke.
Rajnath again made it clear that Pok is a part of India, and those who had separated geographically and politically, quickly or later, returned to India voluntarily. Today, India is not only a consumer of defense technology, but also a manufacturer and exporter. According to the official statement of the MOD, the Defense Minister highlighted the important role played by the Defense in India’s development journey by calculating the tricks received by the government in the last decade.
“10–11 years ago, our defense production was around Rs 43,000 crore. Today, it has crossed a record of Rs 1,46,000 crore by the private sector with a contribution of more than Rs 32,000 crore. Our defense exports, which are a record of Rs 600-700 crore 10 years ago, which is a record for our 24,000 crores. Rajnath Singh said that 100 countries.
Singh said that today, India is not only producing fighter aircraft and missile systems, it is also being prepared for new age war technology.
He said, “We are also constantly making headways in Frontier Technologies. Our progress in Artificial Intelligence, Cyber ​​Defense, Unmanned System and Space-based security is being recognized on a global platform. India has the ability to become a development center for engineering, high precision construction and future technologies.”
