Their letter asked: “What procedures and protocols were followed? How many officers were involved in the search? What was the evidence that they were conducting searches in and around the area?”
The parents expressed concern about the police response, saying: “We believe the police never searched for our son. UI police never personally spoke with the friend who reported him missing. We have been asking why Akul was not found for 10 hours. “Later, rather than immediately after he was reported missing, when he could still have been rescued.
