The Mayor of Birmingham has described Birmingham’s son ‘Ozi Osbourne’ as’

Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Zafar Iqbal, described Ozi Osbourne as “son of Birmingham” before today’s funeral.

He said: “Ozi was more than a musical legend – he was a son of Birmingham. Recently, the city was awarded independence and after his famous appearance for the beginning in Villa Park earlier this month, it was important for the city that we support a fitting, dignified tribute to a private family funeral.

“We know how much this moment matters to his fans. We are proud to host it here with our loving family where all this started, and we are grateful that they have offered to pay to do so generously and are supporting the city that he is bid farewell.”
