Outgoing Antisemitism Envoy called business, religious leaders for lack of action

Ottawa – Ottawa’s outgoing messengers are accusing Canada’s business area and civil society of failing to exclude the growing tide of hatred against Jews and other minorities to deal with antisementism.

In a comprehensive interview with Canadian Jewish news, Debora Leons also says that she could not meet with Orthodox leader Pierre Pilev during her nearly two -year tenure.

She says that the Canadian society faces a growing bay over violence in the Middle East and instead of trying to find common land against Canadian hatred “listen to and listen to various frequencies”.

Leones say that she lacked energy several times to bridge that difference and it is known that both of her and Canadian Islamophobia messengers had to face pushbacks from their own constituencies when they worked together.

She says that the Canadian society is getting “weak” because business and religious leaders avoid growing in hatred crimes, and as many levels of the government fail to adequately coordinate their reactions.

Leones say that she is leaving her job three months ago for health reasons, but to restore “a little joy in life”.

The Canadian Press has asked Leones to an interview and Poelevere’s office comment.
