The family of Ranjit Singh, an Indian national kidnapped in the Doso region of Niger, is requested to safely bring him back home to help the government.

Ranjit Singh, a resident of Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, was working at a construction site, when unknown gunmen attacked, two Indians were killed and kidnapped.

Located in a remote village of Chakka Kundi of Ramban, Ranjit Singh’s family was unaware of his hideout.

Ranjit Singh’s father, Mohan Lal Sen, is urging the Government of India to take immediate action to secure his son’s release, to express concern for his good and safety.

In a special interview by Ranjit Singh’s father, Mohan Lal Sen’s father Annie, said, “We want to ask Modiji to focus on it, the Government of India should work to bring him back. We have been suffering for the last 5-6 days. They are young children. We are very worried about him- where he is kidnapping, he has eaten anything or not.

His mother, Sadhu Devi, is distraught, has not slept or eaten since the incident, and is desperate to see his son returning home.

Sad mother, Sadhu Devi said to Annie, “Please bring my son back. I want him back. I did not sleep at nights or eat anything. When will my son come back?”

Tears flowing on his face, he said, “We are very concerned about his hideout. He has three young children, they are also worried. We want our son to get back home safe and come back.”

In a heinous terrorist attack, two Indians were killed, while one was kidnapped in the Doso region of Niger, as noted by the Indian Embassy in Niger.

The Indian Embassy in Niamey is in touch with local authorities, which is to rebuild the mortal remains of those killed and to ensure safe release of the kidnapped Indian.

The mission also warned all the Indians of Niger to be vigilant. The Indian Embassy in Niger is working closely with local authorities to resume the mortal remains of two dead Indians and to ensure the safe release of Ranjit Singh.

In a post on X, it said, “In a heinous terrorist attack on July 15 in the Doso region of Niger, two Indian citizens lost their lives and one was kidnapped. Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. The mission in the Niyami is in touch with the local authorities, which is to resolve the mortal remains.

Arab News, citing local sources, stated that unknown armed attackers ambushed the Nigerian army unit at an ambush at a construction site for a power line in the Doso area, which is about 100 kilometers (63 mi) from the capital Nemi city.

The Niger Council is the seventh such incident in West and Central Africa since 2020, which highlights the tendency of military intervention in the region.
