When I reviewed Miss Dior in my guide best women’s perfumesI praised how “This is a scent that’s hard to dislike, with subtle nods to each scent zone: fresh, floral, sweet and woody.” Specifically, the fragrance blends notes of lily-of-the-valley, peony, iris, rose, musk, vanilla, tonka bean and sandalwood.

After wearing it for the whole day, I found that its fragrance lasted on my skin for about two to three hours. That said, passersby often notice my perfume long after I’ve stopped noticing it myself. In my experience, perfumes that last more than four hours usually have a hefty price tag, often exceeding £150.

For this reason, I wouldn’t turn up my nose at this 15 per cent discount from John Lewis, especially at this time of year. As stated in my review, “Vanilla and sandalwood make for evening and winter wear,” making it worth saving before it runs out.
