Our aim for Bihar is to make it the center of Make in India: PM Modi at Arrah rally

Patna, Nov 2 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday vowed to make Bihar the hub of the ‘Make in India’ mission and said only a Nitish Kumar-led double engine government can usher in this change as the NDA’s agenda, focus and manifesto is about giving clean and strong governance unlike the opposition’s ‘jungle raj’.

Addressing a public rally in Arrah, PM Modi said ‘Make in India’ is creating waves across the world, and “our aim is for Bihar to become the epicenter of this important mission”.

Describing Bihar’s transformation in the fish farming industry, PM Modi said that earlier Bihar used to import fish for itself from other states, but today it sells fish to other states and this is the result of the policies of the NDA government.

Saying that the NDA manifesto is about the empowerment and upliftment of Bihar, he said, “The NDA has presented an honest and visionary manifesto for the development of Bihar. Every promise, every plan is dedicated to the rapid development of Bihar.”

Taking a dig at the internal strife of the Grand Alliance, he said, “On one side is the honest manifesto of NDA and on the other side are the people of Jungle Raj. They have made their manifesto a document of lies, deception and throwing dust in the eyes of the people.”

He further said that the feud between RJD and Congress has become too much, and the people of Bihar can never expect any good from them or for Bihar, as they are fighting inside for selfish interests.

The Prime Minister said at the rally, “Neither the views of the Congress were heard in the manifesto, nor are they being considered in the campaign. Even before the elections, hatred has increased so much that after the elections they will start breaking each other’s heads.”

PM Modi also talked about the remarkable changes in the lives of many residents due to the ‘Bihar Dairy Mission’ and also told the gathering that it was the resolve of the NDA to create employment opportunities within Bihar for the people of the state.

Reiterating the promises made in the NDA manifesto, he said, “We have announced to create one crore jobs in the coming years and a plan on how to achieve this has also been put before the people.”

He said that NDA’s resolve is that the youth of Bihar should work in Bihar only and bring glory to the state.

He also said that the new NDA government will increase the monetary assistance by additional Rs 3,000 under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, in which farmers are entitled to Rs 6,000 annually.
