Otak Shrine location and walkthrough in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Otak Shrine is inside The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s Hebra Mountains region.

Otak Shrine location

The Otak Shrine can be found within the Hebra Mountains region, around the Icefall Foothills near the northwest corner of the map. The exact coordinates are (-4391, 3714, 0212).

Otak Shrine and “Proving Grounds: Traps” walkthrough

The “Proving Grounds: Falling” search in the Otak Shrine pits an arsenal-less Link against a number of Soldier Constructs. There are a number of traps scattered around the room, allowing you to go flat out Home alone on the killer bots.

1. When you enter the shrine, take the Thick stick, Old Wooden ArchAnd arrows. You’ll need them later to stave off the bots and mergers.

2. Upon entering you will find two Soldier Constructs to the right. The one who swings one Zonai Longsword will approach – and you should leave it. Break your bow and aim at the torch hanging above some dry leaves. Time it just right to catch the Construct in the flame, then take it out.

3. Go up the stairs on the right to find and use a boulder Merge to make a hammer. Then take out the Construct firing arrows your way. No tricks here – just smash it with the newly acquired one Zonai longsword.

4. Go straight across the top platform to see two more structures. When they see your presence (watch out for the yellow exclamation marks), lure them down the stairs to the mini room in the center supported by the rock pillar. Break the pillar when the Constructs are in the shadow of the mini room to crush them with a large block. Then, in your best Macaulay Culkin impression, say, “You’re giving up?” Or are you thirsty for more?”

5. Head back up the stairs to find a Construct who probably hasn’t followed you down the stairs and will be very surprised to hear a hero beating up his buddies! Grab the flaming torch Ultra convenient to throw a flame at the dry leaves on the platform and illuminate the Construct. While it runs for safety, beat it up.

6. Run down the stairs and to the right to find another staircase leading to two more Constructs. There are dry leaves to start a fire, but with current equipment they are easy to charge and take out. Have fun!

7. With all Constructs defeated, run into the now open room with the sigil. Open the available chest to get one mighty construction arc and activate the sigil to get one Light of blessing.
