Officials say the owner of an Oshwa pet was accused of misuse of animals on Sunday when two dogs were left in a warm vehicle.
According to Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS), the authorities received a report about two dogs, which appeared in crisis after being unattained in a vehicle for an extended period of time.
The DRP said in a statement, “Authorities located a vehicle in a veterinary clinic shortly after, where one of the dogs required euthanasia as a result of heat stroke.” “The owner was arrested and charged accordingly.”
Officers are reminding pets owners about serious threats that hot weather gives animals to animals.
Police said, “With rising temperatures on the way, please do not leave animals alone in vehicles-even a few minutes can be dangerous,” the police said.
No other details were immediately available.
