Hollywood actor Brendan Fraser was accompanied by two of his sons to the 2023 Oscars, while his eldest child Griffin Arthur didn’t join his siblings.
The Hollywood actor won his first Oscars award for his stellar performance in The Whale and his biggest supporters were by his side tonight to witness one of the greatest achievements of his life.
Brendan was also joined by his girlfriend, Jeanne Moore, while his younger sons Holden Fraser,18, and Leland Fraser, 16, couldn’t stop gushing about their father.
The actor shares Griffin, Holden, and Leland with his former wife, Afton Smith.
GRIFFIN ARTHUR WAS MISSING AT THE 2023 OSCARS
Griffin was the only son of Brendon to have missed the award ceremony. He is now 20 years old.
Meanwhile, Leland and Holden were spotted with their last year, when they made a rare public appearance at the screening of The Whale.
Griffin may haven’t attended the award ceremony, but his father has spoken about his eldest child, who falls on the autism spectrum, many times before.
He shared in an interview: “I have three kids of my own, my oldest son Griffin has special needs – he’s autistic.”
“He’s a big kid. He’s six foot five. He’s got big hands and feet, a big body. I understand intimately what it is to be close to a person who lives with obesity,” he added further.
The proud father refuses to call his son’s condition a “disorder” and says he knows nothing of irony or cynicism.
“He’s the happiest person and is, in my life and many others’, also the manifestation of love,” he said of his eldest son.
BRENDAN FRASER’S SONS PRAISE THEIR FATHER
Brendan’s sons had an opportunity to speak with Laverne Cox on the red carpet and they didn’t wait until he won an award to express their admiration for their father.
Not only were the teens excited to be at the Academy Awards, but they couldn’t be more proud of their father. Holden said he and his brothers were “unbelievably proud. Over the moon.”
An emotional Brendan held back his tears while trying to soak every moment of one of the biggest nights of his life.
Brendan won the Best Performance by an actor award at the 2023 Oscars for his role in The Whale. It also marked Brendan’s first Academy Awards nod.
The same movie also helped the actor bag his first Critics Choice Award and Screen Actor Guild Award.
JEANNE MOORE SHOWS SUPPORT TO HER BEAU
Brendan’s gorgeous girlfriend, Jeanne, has been by his side during some of his big wins, including the Oscars. She is also his first public girlfriend since his split from Afton, the mother of his three sons.
Jeanne is a professional makeup artist and hairstylist, based in Los Angeles and New York and runs her own business, according to Hollywood life.
It isn’t clear when the couple met or started dating, but their first public appearance was at the 79th Venice Film Festival in September 2022. They have been spotted together on multiple occasions thereafter.
Meanwhile, The Mummy actor was married to his former wife from 1998 to 2007.
