The Wiener Racing team will return to the Brickyard in May, giving them another chance to enjoy the racing weekend spotlight.

Oscar Mayer announced Sunday that all six of its famed street cars will compete on the historic 2.5-mile oval at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the second consecutive year. The Wienie 500 race is scheduled for May 22 during the track’s annual Carbure Day celebrations.

Last year’s tournament was so popular that organizers wanted to offer fans a second round two days earlier to give them a taste of the relaxed competition indy carThe Marquis of Indianapolis 500.

The presentation will have a familiar look to fans who attended last year’s first race.

Each Wienermobile will come with ingredients representing a American A local favorite when it comes to carrying custom decals. Drivers will don Hotdogger racing suits while the iconic “Wiener Song” plays and the winner will drive into the “Wiener Circle.”

Representing the Southeast, Slaw Dog will try to prove they are good enough to defend last year’s crown. Four other favorite regional dogs are also expected to return – Chi Dog (Midwest), New York Dog (East), Chili Dog (South) and Seattle Dog (Northwest).

But Sonoran dogs may be replaced after failing to cut mustard greens in 2025.

Fans can select the final entrant from a menu of seven possible options, including the Sonoran Dog, by visiting the website Instagram In the first “Pick Your Dog” Wienie 500 stand. Updates will be available on the Instagram account or TikTok.
