Shopian, May 13, KDC: One Stop Center (OSC) Shopian organized a comprehensive awareness program at Pehlipora Keller, Shopian, focusing on services offered by OSC and 181 women’s helpline.
The purpose of this incident is to make the local community, especially women sensitive to the support mechanisms available to the victims of violence and misuse.
During the program, participants were informed of the wide range of assistance provided by the OSC, including legal aid, psychological counseling, temporary shelter and police facility.
The importance of 181 helpline was specially emphasized, a toll-free number that is dedicated to addressing women’s issues and ensuring timely intervention.
In particular, many cases were registered on the spot, which reflects the immediate effect and relevance of the initiative.
