Speaking at the sixth convocation of Symbiosis Skills, he said, “Indian youth have taken a big initiative in the production of defense equipment and in the last 10 years our defense equipment production has increased from Rs 46,000 crore to Rs 1.50 lakh crore. In this the private sector has contributed about Rs 33,000 crore. We aim to increase our production capacity to Rs 3 lakh crore by 2029 and exports to Rs 50 lakh crore. Have to increase.” and professional universities.

The Defense Minister said, “India has always given the message of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ through its actions. While the country is trying to become self-reliant in the field of defence, the courses started in institutions like Symbiosis are a commitment to nation building along with education. The graduates here will create new age defense equipment.”

He stressed that capable India will be built by skill development and at this time, when the world is changing rapidly and new ideas, new systems and new technologies are emerging every moment in such an uncertain world, skills will play an important role. The Defense Minister said, “Therefore, there is a need for everyone to take the country forward through skills. Along with the Central Government, the Maharashtra Government is also setting up skill development training facilities and encouraging them to create a capable and self-reliant India through skill development.”

The Minister further said that skill education is important for nation building and contributes to building a skilled individual. Creation is an important quality of man and only a person engaged in creation can give direction to the society. He said, “In today’s era, not only is knowledge useful, but the art of applying it is also important. Therefore, the aim of today’s education should be to inculcate in the minds of students how to bring what they have learned to life.”

“As the country is moving towards a new India, emphasis is being laid on Skill India, Startup India and Make in India. The Central Government has set up a separate ministry to promote skill development. This ministry has tried to convert the challenges of this sector into opportunities. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, skill training has been provided to 1.63 crore candidates. More than 30 lakh candidates have been trained in rural, tribal areas through Jan Shiksha Sansthans,” the Defense Minister said, “and Marginalized groups have been trained in tailoring, embroidery, handicrafts, fruit processing and health care assistants.”

According to Rajnath Singh, under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, the traditional artisans of the country are being empowered and 22 lakh artisans have been provided modern tools of the trade. This has created a favorable environment for skill development in the country.

Minister Singh said, “If the youth of the country have skills, then no power in the world can stop us. Looking at the progress in the field of skill development in the country, I believe that today’s generation will acquire the skills and create the next era’s technological generation. However, it is necessary to be sensitive to the skills and utilize them for the society.”

Maharashtra has played an important role in this sector. In the coming times, investment, production and manpower production in this sector will happen in the state.” He appealed to the graduates to contribute to the society that has created the education system for us.

He said, “If the country has to emerge as a superpower, there is a need to skill the youth of the country and convert them into skilled manpower. However, the number of educational institutions that create the necessary system for this sector is limited.”
